I’m talking to made up people (presumably friends of some kind) on a long wooden pier/bridge above the ocean (one side faces the open waters, the other a very tall unscalable cliff). After being barraged by bad weather and waves/very high water, they inform me that the storms have all ended. I start to exclaim in surprise and happiness when they follow up with “We just have one more of those” and point to a floating cloud iridescence/rainbow cylinder floating right above the ocean water. My heart sinks at the sight of the pretty anomaly because I remember from past experiences that it causes tidal waves and violent waters. The water around the pastel rainbow cylinder begins to churn violently and everyone scatters for safety. I begin to run towards the mainland to my right on the wooden path, but notice that the cloud is moving in the same direction, taking its destruction with it. Not wanting to run in the same direction as the storm, I change directions and run to my left down the path instead, towards the small island. I notice that the cloud seems to change course and follow me, but slower. I don’t have time to change directions again because it’s still been getting closer so I continue to the island. There are other people (strangers) on the island and we all gather towards the center of the island as the waters rise more and more and the waves get bigger and bigger. As the waters get too high, we find life jackets and begin to put them on as we anticipate the island to be completely submerged. As we’re doing this, we find that a decent-sized wooden boat is tethered to the island. I worry that the captain will cut his rope that tethers the boat to the island, but when the older asian man that captains the boat sees the rope and the boat rocking against the island, he and the people on his ship instead offer to help us onto his boat. There’s a wooden fence with long planks in the way so we have to squeeze between the boards to get onto the boat. A young man on the boat is trying to spread open planks by hand to allow me to pass through, when I notice two large commercial airplanes both taking off and diving sideways (wing-side) into the ocean because they didn’t have enough runway (it’s underwater) to take off properly. One of the planes dove in our direction and its body crashes into the boat, smashing it to pieces. I reach my hand out and grab the asian captain’s hand trying to save him (from the water that’s sucking everything down with the sinking airplane) because he was kind enough to try and save us. I also think that having a kind captain like him to lead would be beneficial for us. Ariel puts a boot on Prince Eric’s head (to signify he should be captain for the way he tries to help people) and shows him around the wreckage underwater to prove her point. She continues to gesture underwater to him but he starts to need air. She pulls him around underwater, oblivious to him needing air. Eventually she realizes that he’s trying to resurface for air and lets him. As he approaches the surface, he sees the capsized wooden boat above with grayish bodies floating. He thinks people may be swimming but realizes as he gets closers that people are placing their dead loved ones into the water as they say goodbye, particularly a lot of children that died in the storm. Shanna and I are roommates in college. We share a bed, our pillows on either side of it. Shanna is decorating our space, particularly making the bed. I wander off to unpack other items in our space, finding an empty bathroom closet to organize makeup and towels in. After organizing, I realize the closet is too far away from our bedroom (the rooms have regular walls but are all divided by big colorful curtains in the entrances instead of doors. I realize I was organizing in someone else’s space and Shanna helps me take everything out and down. We go back to our space and I try to tell Shanna that it’s not true that I don’t have romantic feelings for them, but people pass in front of me so I get cut off. Back in our room, I see our bed and I mention how we’ll be sharing a bed again after all. I feel excited thinking about being with them 5 days out of the week (school days). I start to tell them that I do have feelings for them and am excited to share a space with them, before I wake up.
